Are You A Thrill Seeker?… We Want To Know Wednesdays

 photo WWTKbutton-1-1_zps2077872a.jpg

It’s Wednesday!  I haven’t done this for a long time so thought I’d jump back in to We Want To Know Wednesdays and have a little fun!   Be sure to link up with Scriptor and Kenzie and share YOUR answers.

Here are this week’s questions:

{no. 1} Are you an amusement/theme park kind of person?

Oh, yes, yes, yes!  I LOVE amusement parks!!  And yet, funny enough, I still haven’t been to Disney!!  I love the atmosphere, the excitement, the energy… pretty much everything about them.  The only thing I am not so keen on is that fact that as a family, we can easily drop an entire paycheque in one visit!  But I have many fond memories of amusement parks from way back when I was a little kid… right up to today.  And each year I look forward to our local fall fair – it’s one of those temporary carnival type events – but it’s always been a family tradition each September.

{no. 2} If yes, where have you gone? If no, what makes you dislike those kinds of places?

Being in Canada, we don’t have as many to choose from… in the U.S. I have been to Cedar Point… but Disney is for sure on the top of our list in the next couple of years… at our son’s request… never mind it’s a dream of mine!!

In Canada – at least near where we are located – we have Canada’s Wonderland, or on a much smaller scale Centreville Amusement Park.  We try to make Canada’s Wonderland at least once a season… which reminds me we need to pick a day to go this summer!

{no. 3} Do you like to go on roller coasters?

OMG – NO!  Now here’s the funny thing… I HATE roller coasters… UNLESS they are one of those water rides!  How strange am I? LOL

{no. 4} Does your answer to #3 directly correlate to how you are about life experiences?

Ummm – I would have to say No to that.  I do love an adrenaline rush… but there is just something about the ‘clickity clack’ of roller coasters that don’t do it for me!  I LOVE water sports and if money wasn’t an issue I would be on the water doing these things everyday… and I mean everyday!!  I have a friend who tried Flyboarding and after seeing videos of that, it’s definitely moved to the top of my list of things I want to try… if you haven’t checked out Flyboarding check this out:

{no. 5} What was the last scary and/or risky thing you did?

As far as thrill seeking… it’s been a while… outside of the fact that I killed a spider last week!  Spiders scare the daylights out of me!! LOL But, on a personal level, a scary thing for me was doing a live interview… talking about autism and advocacy work.  This was more of overcoming a HUGE psychological fear rather than putting myself at risk – but our lifestyles right now just aren’t conducive to participating in those thrill seeking adventures… sadly… but hoping that this will change in the near future!

So, what about you?  Are you a thrill seeker or not?

I love the atmosphere of theme parks too! I love going just to go, seeing as I definitely do not do roller coaster rides. But I do agree that the water ones are fun!! Spiders are so nasty, ugh, just thinking about those little buggers gives me the heeby jeebies.
Thanks so much for linking up with us 😀

Glad that you guys have taken over WWTK – so missed it!! And glad I found you! Now, let’s hit the amusement park!! :)

Yes! I love amusement parks and roller coasters. Having grown up in Florida, Disney, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Universal Studios gave us much to do in the summer. Of course, back then the prices were more reasonable, especially for Florida residents.

This summer, we are planning a trip to Six Flags over Georgia with over 7 roller coasters. :-) My two older children earned tickets from doing reading at school, so the price is right for us to go this summer. I’m excited as they have a Superman roller coaster where you lay down facing the ground. Jen, you would hate it, but I love it!

Paul and I will have to take turns as our kids will not be able to ride some of them, but yes, amusement parks are great!

That’s right – I forgot about you growing up near all the ‘cool’ parks!! As a kid that would be awesome!

YAY for all the reading they did! What a great incentive!!! YIKES… that roller coaster would NOT be my friend!! HAHA! Can’t wait to hear about that trip… with hopefully lots of pics! Wish we had more big parks in Canada… maybe it’s time to move! HAHAHA!!

Have a great day my friend :)

No sure when we will get in that trip, but hopefully, we can squeeze it in sometime in August. Yes, we’ll take pictures when we go. :-)

You have a great day as well!
