It’s A Snow Day!!!

It’s a SNOW DAY!  Not necessarily the words that a parent wants to hear in the morning, but I don’t know too many kids that feel that way!!!

As a heavy storm goes through our area, we woke up to a fair bit of snow today and yes, school buses, schools and some businesses announced that they would be closed for the day.

So what else is there to do on a snow day?  Make snow angels, go tobogganing and drink hot chocolate!  If you are a furry member of our family, there is no better time to have a romp through the backyard play a little fetch… or in their case… keep away!

I do think it’s kind of funny because when I was young, we needed a lot more snow than what we have now to make it a snow day.  Though I guess my parents had it much worse cause they had to walk 15 miles to school… uphill both ways… in 6 feet of snow!!!  So I guess by those standards, we’ve got it made!

Happy Snow Day if you have one… if you don’t… want me to send you some?!  Me, I’m gonna get all Canadian and go shovel the driveway!!

Love it! We’ve only had sleet here in SC, but my kids would love at least one snow this season. :D
