Will You Help Stop International Parental Child Abduction?

International Parental Child Abduction… the act of one parent kidnapping their own child from the other parent.  Seems a little unreal doesn’t it? Well, it’s not!  It is still a problem that many are unaware even exists.  Parental abduction is a severe form a abuse against a child and it needs to stop!

If you would, I am asking for a minute of your time, to help stop international parental child abduction, by signing a petition to assist FASIM (The Forum for the Assistance and Prevention of International Child Abduction) in their efforts to change the necessary legislation to better protect children from parental abduction.

This petition can be signed by everyone… everywhere!  If you have read any of the posts that I share about international parental child abduction you are already aware of the seriousness of this issue.  The reality is that children who become victims of parental abduction are subjected to severe abuse, parental alienation and are at risk of murder… yes, murder… at the hands of their own parent.  Change is needed!

Recently, Peter Senese and the I CARE Foundation released their International Travel Child Consent Form which was created to help prevent international parental child abduction due to the wrongful detention of a child traveling abroad with one parent. Since this document was introduced to the legal community, parents, lawyers and courts have been utilizing the form to ensure that children traveling abroad will return home.  As of August 22, 2013, all children that had traveled to the sixteen Hague Convention signatory countries, under the protection of the travel consent form, have indeed, returned home!

The simple fact is, we are all just three degrees of separation from knowing someone affected by parental abduction.  That means that someone you know (either directly or indirectly) will be affected by this at some point in their lives.  Let’s change that possibility by taking the steps that take us closer to stopping international parental child abduction.  That my friends, means protecting children… saving lives… and isn’t that worth the time it takes to sign?

Again, CLICK HERE to sign the petition… and become a part of the change that is making a difference!

Thanks for your consideration.  If you are able, please share this with your friends and network – It is that important!!
